Cerveris' London based band, Retriever was hired as the unfortunately named Tastes Like Chicken, to play the glam backing band for Cerveris' cross-dressing series regular character, Gary, in the short-lived tv series The American Embassy on FOX. These songs were to used in various scenes of Gary and the band playing the seedier side of the London underground music scene. They were recorded in 2001 at the famed Rockfield Studios in Wales by Nick Brine (Oasis/Teenage Fanclub/Beta Band) with Cerveris on guitar and vocals, Mark Kulke on lead guitar, David Ledden (Knuckles) on bass and Alex Lutes (Nightnurse) on drums.
